A Belated Mother's Day

Although this post is a week late, I wanted to acknowledge my mom, Kathy. She has been a main source of support and inspiration in starting this venture, and it is truly appreciated. Mom, you are amazing! I love you!

This was a cookbook I designed around my mom's recipes.

An Oldie but a Goodie.

I designed these invitations for our good friends, Don + Kelly (now) Scott. Kelly had a beautiful winter wedding in Maryland and wanted a soft, tonal invitation with simple type. I think I made her happy!

I printed everything on my inkjet printer and the result was very classic and understated.

Ruby + Bump Club Chicago=Lovely.

The Bump Club Chicago, a new social networking group for preggo Chicago women, is having an event in June, and they're featuring a little coupon for Ruby! I designed these little cards which will go into the gift bags-aren't they cute? Here's to hoping they stir up some new clients!

Letterpress Love.

Announcement! I will be taking a letterpress class starting in June at Evanston Print & Paper!! Dreams are coming true, people. My love affair with letterpress has been many years in the making, and now I will be learning how to create beautiful letterpress gems on my own! Like this!

Could I be more excited? I think not.

Little chicks.

Our good friend, Mary Fiore, just had her second beautiful baby, Greta Jane. I thought I would send her some cute little notecards I designed for her. Aren't they sweet?

Who am I?

Now you may be asking yourself, just who is Ruby the Fox? And why is she your mascot? When Mike and I lived in Denver while he was getting his masters, we lived right behind Ruby Hill Park near the University of Denver. In said park lived an adorable little fox, whom we aptly named Ruby! We would see her often at night and always slowed to say hello. When the idea for this stationery business came about, I thought what better name to name a company than Ruby the Fox!

There you have it. The story of the name, which isn't as good as the story of the day I was born, but we'll save that for another post.
